In the video below, Carlos & Rosemarie Evans explain who Jesus is, why He loves you, and how to live a new life with Him. If you accepted Jesus, please let us know by clicking the button “I Accepted Jesus.” We want to keep you in our thoughts & prayers as you grow in this new journey with Jesus.
Salvation is a gift from God provided by His grace and we receive it through faith in Jesus Christ. Read below to see how you can respond to His gift of salvation.
Understand you are a sinner.
What is sin? Sin is the breaking of God's law.
How are we sinners? The first people God created chose to disobey God and sin against Him. Since then, all people have chosen to sin and disobey. It is impossible to live up to all the law that makes us righteous and sinless. (Romans 3:23)
What are the consequences of sin? The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
Believe that Jesus is the son of God & Accept God's gift of forgiveness from sin.
Can we be forgiven of our sin? God provided the perfect solution to forgive us of all our sin and restore our relationship with Him. Because of His great love for us, He did not want us to live a sinful life that leads to death. But the only way to pay the wages of sin was through a perfect, sinless sacrifice—His one and only son.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Even though we deserved death for our sin, Jesus (the son of God) took our place by coming to earth to die on a cross for our sin. So that through Him we may be free.
Can I earn my salvation? We could never deserve or earn the salvation that God gave us through Jesus. It's a gift. But God's grace and love for us is so great, that He provided a way through Jesus, that if we believe in Him, we wont die but have everlasting life with Him in heaven.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)
Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord & savior.
How do I receive salvation?
Repent After you have admitted to God you are a sinner, confess you have done wrong and repent of your sins. When you repent, you are sincerely sorry for the wrong you committed and decide to live a life that does not go back to your old sinful ways.
"Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out" (Acts 3:19)
Believe Salvation requires faith in the only savior—Jesus Christ. His in not one way, He is the only way to God in heaven.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6)
Would you like to receive Jesus in your heart as your Lord and savior?
The word of God says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Pray in your own words or pray this prayer with us:
Jesus,
I know I have sinned against you. I am sorry for the sins I have committed that have led me to be separated from you. I now recognize that you came to earth to die for my sins and it is through your blood that I have been washed away from all condemnation. I believe that you were raised from the dead and that now I can live my life for you. Thank you because through your grace, I have been born again.
In Jesus name, I pray, Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life! He has forgiven you of your sin and you will now live in eternity with God in Heaven.
God did not intend for you to do life all alone. The Bible says in Matthew 18:20, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” God created community for us to encourage one another towards holiness and a deeper relationship with the Lord.
Find a church near you whether it is in-person or online and start growing with other believers who will lead you closer to Jesus.
